The period pain is real but eating the right foods can really help calm the rage monster inside!
Looks like we allow ourselves to indulge in sweet food and the reason (excuse) is having our period.
NOT JUST YOU, EVERY WOMAN!
There is no doubt that every woman on her period has the urge to snack on something mainly sweet, something to quickly increase the insulin in the blood and make you feel good for a moment to avoid the pain from your period. This ends up not being nutritionally filling and can lead to an uncomfortable, bloated feeling which creates a loop that is hard to get out of and leads to regrets afterwards.
THE SECRET?
The best thing to do is maintain a healthy, well-balanced diet and what I mean by balance is eating everything in moderation so YES to sweet food! but combining sweet food with high natural sugar content is the secret!
NATURAL SUGAR IS A GOOD CHOICE!
So my advice is to choose the good sugar, natural sugar coming from healthy food, rather than overeating any kind of food.
The best way is to give some sweet food a try early in the morning. This will stop your mind from asking you for more sugar afterwards. Basically, because natural sugar does not have addictive contents.
ASK YOURSELF…
Do you feel like eating another piece of fruit after you’ve just had one? Fruits are high in sugar but in natural sugar! This is what you need over these days, but food which not just contains high natural sugar but with a sugary flavour to “lie” to your mind by giving your body nutrients and minerals rather than high density food which are high in artificial sugar.
HIGH DENSITY FOOD
High density food is food with high-calorie content in a small amount, so for example, 1 chocolate biscuit can be equivalent to eating 3 bananas, same calories and maybe the same sugar content but the sugar found in bananas is natural so it’s healthier than the artificial sugar found in the chocolate biscuit.
YOU DON’T NEED ARTIFICIAL SUGAR TO FUNCTION
I am against processed sugar, not just because it is addictive but because it does not provide you with any vitamins or minerals that you need. But I do not mean not to eat any sugar, not at all! Just food with high natural sugar content. By combining different sweet flavors, it will create an effect of absolute satisfaction in your body, you do not need to believe, … just give it a try and you will see for yourself!
BEST TIME TO EAT FOOD HIGH IN NATURAL SUGAR?
